Community events are important to us at Cheshire. Each year, we host and participate in several events that support and give back to the community. The Golisano Children's Hospital is near and dear to us here and we invite you to participate in our Annual Cheshire-Milgate Golf Classic, and in the Stroll for Strong Kids!
Stroll for Strong Kids Walk and 5K
The Stroll for Strong Kids is an annual, family-friendly event where you can choose to run in the 5k race, walk with your family and friends, or both. All proceeds from the fundraising for this event benefit Golisano Children's Hospital. Giving to Golisano Children's Hospital means everything to children treated here. Take a look at one of the videos we produced for this great event see some of the faces of patients treated at our region's only children's hospital,.
The Cheshire-Milgate Golf Classic
The Cheshire family is proud to host this annual event in honor of Mackenzie Grace Cheshire. Mackenzie is one of many in this region that benefits from the the Kirch Developmental Services Center which is part of Golisano Children's Hospital. In 2013 we partnered with Debbie Milgate-Moyer who ran her own tournament for many years in memory of her brother Tim Milgate. Deb was so passionate about the raising money for the hospital and creating family friendly events that we couldn't help but learned from her during our amazing partnership. That is why we have decided to honor our special friend and mentor with our tournament. In her memory, we will continue to support the Kirch Developmental Services Center at Golisano Children’s Hospital as well as donate to the Wilmot Cancer Institute in honor of the care they provided Debbie during her heroic battle with leukemia.
